Decisions, Solutions, & Screens

Decisions, Solutions, & Screens

User Onboarding & Account Types

  • I ensured that the sign up flow collected sufficient info from businesses, to ensure that they are managed properly in the backend, but also ensured that only necessary data was collected from freelance and most especially client account.

  • Utilized progressive disclosure and conditional user flow to only display specific flows based on the specific action, selection, or account type selected by the user.

Service Creation & Portfolio Experience

  • Utilized progression bars and steppers to let users know exactly how many steps are needed to post a service and where they are in the flow at all times.

  • One key decision in the flow was to leave the CTA button in the "Service Details" step active at all times, so when it is clicked by the user an error message + indicator lets the user know what needs to be filled before they can move on to the next step of the flow.

  • Went with a simpler preset choice for the service thumbnails, so as to keep the platform clean, attractive, and without offensive or misleading pictures on the homepage or service details page. This was both a UI decision as it was a technical decision, because we also considered load time for the pages involved.

Localization & Accessibility

  • Users can switch language conveniently and at anytime from English to Arabic (the most commonly spoken language in Kuwait apart from English) and vise versa when they click or press on the menu/profile icon on the top nav.

  • The languages can also be switched via the "Settings & Support" pop-up.

Identity & Visual Consistency

  • To ensure consistency and visual attractiveness, user are only allowed to pick from a curated preset options for profile pictures. Male and female options have been provided to ensure correct representation.

  • Company profiles are allowed to use their company logo as their profile picture.

Payments & Monetization

  • Users can seamlessly add the number of days they want their posts to be pinned as a featured post on the homepage.

  • Funds can be added directly into the user's wallet from the "Wallet" screen or during the payment flow when posting an ad.

Communication & Regional Behavior

  • We ensured that both direct call and WhatsApp call are the main call-to-action (CTA) buttons on the service listing page. And are both made sticky at the bottom to increase discoverability and conversion.
